Livingstone Island, in the middle of the Zambezi at the edge of the Victoria Falls just before the 103-metre drop, is closed for visits due to the constant rise in water level, which makes access unsafe.

Bushtracks Africa recently announced the closure for safety reasons, and has advised travellers that all bookings made from April 4 to May will be automatically cancelled. Fees already paid for bookings for the Livingstone Island tour during this period will be refunded.

The island will remain closed until further notice.
