London City Airport has reopened and will operate normally today, Tuesday, February 13, after the discovery of a WWII bomb in the King George V dock this weekend forced its closure yesterday.

Robert Sinclair, ceo of the airport, said in a statement: “The World War Two ordnance discovered in King George V Dock has been safely removed by the Royal Navy and Met Police. As a result, the exclusion zone has now been lifted and the airport will be open as normal on Tuesday.”

Passengers due to travel today are asked to arrive not more than two hours before their flight.
