Cathay Dragon launches new service to Nanning Today's News

Cathay Dragon is to launch a new service between Hong Kong and Nanning on January 8 next year. Four weekly flights will be operated on an Airbus A320 with two class configurations.

The capital of Guangxi, Nanning is an important economic hub.  Ashish Kapur, Cathay Pacific’s South African country manager, says, “We are very pleased to add Nanning to our growing mainland China network. The city is becoming an increasingly important business and tourism destination and we are excited to provide our South African customers with a wider choice of travel options and convenience.”

Flights will operate the Hong Kong (HKG) – Nanning (NNG) route as follows:

HKG – NNG Flight KA714

Nanning is the capital of Guangxi and is known as the ‘Green City’ because of its abundant lush tropical greenery. The city is China’s gateway to the Association of Southeast Asia Nations (ASEAN) and hosts the annual China-ASEAN Expo. 

Passengers from southern China will have more connection options to Cathay Dragon’s regional network as well as Cathay Pacific’s international network through Hong Kong when the new service launches next year.
