Le Boat, Europe’s largest self-drive boating company, has revealed highlights for next year.

They include: a new Canadian route that marks the company’s first cruising destination outside Europe; the relocation of its North American headquarters to Smiths Falls, Ontario; the mid-August launch of a new 62-page brochure, featuring the latest cruising experiences in Europe and North America; and two new boat models to accommodate larger groups.

A new five-cabin boat that can sleep up to 12 people has been added to the Horizon fleet. The new Minuetto 8+ boat (designed for the Italian waterways) has four cabins and can accommodate up to 10 people. It includes a front and rear thruster for easy handling, air-conditioning and a dishwasher.

Le Boat will also be offering travellers more flexibility. Starting next year, holiday-makers will be able to depart on Sunday from all the bases on the Canal du Midi and Camargue, as well as selected bases in Burgundy, Alsace and Italy.

Currently on offer is an early-booking discount for bookings made now on selected 2018 trips. A full list of discounts is available on Le Boat’s website.
