Public transport strikes in Italy on April 24 are expected to cause travel delays in Rome, Naples, Modena and Vercelli.

In the UK, workers from RMT union on Virgin Trains East Coast and Arriva's Northern service plan to strike on April 28. The Virgin Trains East Coast strike will continue on April 29 where workers are striking over the role of on-board staff

Virgin runs trains between the east coast route between London, north England and Scotland.

Agents should advise their clients in Italy and the UK that transport to and from these areas are likely to be affected on these days and additional travel time should be allowed for all journeys.
