RwandAir will launch flights to London Gatwick on May 26.

Previously, when eTNW reported that the carrier would be launching a Gatwick service, official launch dates were not confirmed.

Flight WB700 will depart Kigali at 12h30 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and arrive in Gatwick at 20h10.

Return flight WB701 will depart Gatwick at 21h30 on the same days and arrive in Kigali at 07h15 the following day.

Tickets are available for booking and fares start from R7 500 return, including taxes.

The route will be operated by an Airbus A330-200 with 20 seats in business class, 21 in premium economy and 203 in economy class.

The Kigali-Gatwick route mainly targets corporate and student travel, however passengers travelling from Johannesburg can use the route in conjunction with RwandAir’s daily flights between Kigali and Johannesburg.

Passengers can expect a six-hour transit time going to Gatwick and two hours on the return journey.
